There was no bigger breakthrough performer during last year's track and field postseason than Jaylyn Aminu of Liberty. She won't be a surprise this season, though. Aminu, a sophomore, claimed Lehigh Valley Conference and District 11 Class 3A championships in the 100 meters as a freshman. November 3 was a day of tears and happiness as head coach Bill Ruth made his last trip to the state championships. The boys and girls cross country teams wanted to make this year that much more special because of Ruth

As coach William Ruth prepares to part ways with the school and his players, the cross country team is sending him out with a bang. The boys finished the regular season with an 11-0 record, and clinched the Lehigh Valley Conference Regular Season Championship after defeating Parkland. The girls ended the dual meet schedule with a 9-2 record. Jess Cygan.
