THE BLUE DEVIL
The Name of The Blue Devils originated in 1920 by Shenandoah's first official football coach, Al Symbal, who was a WWI veteran who served with a crack French unit called "Alpine Chauseurs". Nicknamed the Blue Devil because of being known for courage, tenacity and relentless fighting spirit. This history of the Shenandoah Valley Blue Devil Mascot.
