Complete 2012 Spring Academic Honor Roll

Reading, Pa. (June 18, 2012) - Alvernia placed 37 spring student-athletes on the MAC Spring Academic Honor Roll.  The honor roll is comprised of student-athletes of sophomore class standing or higher who participated in a varsity-level sport and registered a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 (4.00 scale) or higher and completed the playing season in good standing.  Student-athletes are selected from baseball, men's golf, men's lacrosse, men's tennis, men's track & field, softball, women's golf, women's lacrosse, women's tennis and women's outdoor track.   

Featured from Alvernia is Commonwealth Baseball Player of the Year Chris Ray (Exton, Pa./Henderson) and Commonwealth First Team selections, from Women's Lacrosse-Sam Landis (Watsontown, Pa./Warrior Run) and from Women's Track and Field-Melissa Fellenbaum (Mount Joy, Pa./Hempfield).  Named to the Honor Roll and Second Team All-Commonwealth are, from Women's Lacrosse Alyssa Verrillo (North Wales, Pa./Archbishop Wood) and from Women's Tennis Jennifer Petrilla (Hamilton, NJ/Hamilton East).
