For the 3RD time this season, the heating issue at Edinboro University has forced the cancelation of a TSTCA meet. After the January 4th and 25th meets were cancelled, there was hope that the rest of the season would go off without a hitch. It will not. The one on the 1st was held... but the February 15th one is CANCELED.
According the TSTCA President Ed Helbig, the new heating system is not capable of heating the dome to more than 20 degrees above the outside temperature. With this coming Saturday's HIGH temp slated to be 18, it was apparent that 38 degrees would not work.
So here is what we know -
- The forecast high for the TSTCA Champs on Feb 22nd is 49... so that would work.
- The entry limits for the TSTCA Champs have been LOWERED to 2 individuals and 1 relay per team. That meet closes on Feb 19th at 11:59 PM.
