Along the Fence - Feats of the Week (Video Edition)

Hail to the Victors!

Columbia celebrates and reflects on an outstanding 3 days at The Penn Relays

This week Along the Fence is dedicated to not one, or two, or even 3 Feats of the Week. We are focused on the performance of the Columbia Girls T&F team and all that they accomplished last week at The Penn Relays.Yes, fame is fleeting and it is time to move on to the next big meet and the next barrier breaking performance, but let's take a few more minutes to savor the sweetness of what went on at venerable Franklin Field on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of last week.

On Wednesday, a day that made us all appreciate the coming of summer, I spent a few hours with 6 young women who did their coach and school proud at the legendary Penn Relays. The 5 girls who made up the Championship of America 4x800m team (Aigner Bobbitt, Imani Coleman, Emile Cowan, Olivia Baker and Maya Hinton) and Kayla Richardson whose 20-2.25 leap to be the top American in the Long Jump. Spoke to me about their Penn experiences from a team and personal perspective. It was, to say the least, the most enjoyable 2 hours I've spent in a long time. Thank you Ladies

I will let the Girls speak for themselves as we honor them for their Feats of the Week
