What was your most memorable meet or race?

Most memorable has to be 2014 track regionals. Going in, I knew there would be an extremely tough fight for the 1600m, but I ended up taking it in a 64 second last lap. I didn't even expect to qualify for state in the 800, but ended up taking second. To top it all off, the 3200m relay qualified as well. It really made the season seem worth it.

Out of all your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most?

Definitely winning the 1600 at regionals this year. Even though it was a non-PR race, it was extremely gratifying to win something that I've been slowly moving up in my whole career.

If you could do it all over again, is there anything you would change?

Definitely taking running more seriously earlier on. I actually trained hard this winter and saw an 18 second improvement, and it leaves me wondering what I could have done if I'd trained in the off season for the rest of my career.

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

Working through injuries my freshman and sophomore years. Shin splits were always a constant threat, and it was extremely disappointing to not compete for a while after all that training (probably overtraining).

What will you miss the most?

Joking around and hanging out with my track/cross team and coaches. There's nothing like a bunch of like-minded people striving towards the same goal.

Do you have any advice for younger athletes?

You will get out of running exactly what you put in to it. Slack, and your times will slack as well. Work hard, and see results.

What are your college/career plans?

I'm going to attend Haverford College to major in Chemistry. I'm also going to run for Haverford. Go Fords!

Who would you like to thank?

My one and only cross country coach, for always being gentle encouragement and teaching me how to really enjoy every mile (okay, not every single mile. But I

I've never regretted a run). I'd also like to thank my track coach, Mr. Busler, for believing I could go sub-4:40. I'd also like to thank my number one competitor and good friend, Raymond McKinney for always being my shadow and pushing me to new heights.
