Abert and AAA champion Brophy still hold places in US Top 50!

Despite state meet disappointment, Colin Abert of Easton is still amongst the best runners in the county. His Paul Short Run record breaking 14:55 performance sits at #14 on the national top 200 list. Abert is one of only 21 athletes in the country to break 15 minutes in cross country this season. State champion and course record holder Jake Brophy of Central Bucks East shares the 49th position with a handful of runners with his league title win of 15:08. Kevin James of Cardinal O'Hara (#70) and Casey Comber of Hatboro Horsham (T-71) also represent the state in the national top 100.

Abert, Brophy, and Comber will look for an opportunity to qualify for the Foot Locker finals in San Diego in less than two weeks at the Foot Locker Northeast Regional at Van Courtland Park in New York. James will lead his Cardinal O'Hara squad to the NXN Northeast regional in Bowdoin Park, NY. James has earned team and individual qualification for the NXN finals in Portland, Oregon in the past two seasons. A 3rd trip will be a Pennsylvania first.
