Boys Highlights:

  • In a highly anticipated matchup between two of Pennsylvania's top track stars in Sam Ritz and John Lewis at the 800 meters, Ritz takes the win only a few days removed from racing the mile at the Prefontaine Classic in a personal best time of 1:50.72 over the #2 US ranked Lewis (2nd, 1:50.93). Deep high school boys 800 meter race with two other guys at 1:51 in Dom Perretta and Billy McDevitt right behind Ritz and Lewis.
  • Carlisle's Zach Brehm, who the Pennsylvania 3200 state title two weeks ago, won the high school boys mile race at the PA Distance Festival with a new personal best time of 4:10.25 holding off Delaware state champ Kieran Tuntivate of the Charter School of Wilmington.

Girls Highlights:

  • Sarah Walker of Germantown Friends won the elite women's 800 in a US #4 time of 2:06.43. Caitie Faust made the trip up to PA all the way from Georgia to finish third in the elite women's race in a time of 2:09.69.
  • Aislin Devlinn, a sophomore at Downington West (PA), placed fourth in the elite women's 1500 racing against collegiates in a time of 4:36.54, which equates to a 4:58 mile.
