After a big weekend of competition, six of the week 1 leaders have changed in our division rankings.
State leaders Lauren Finikiotis of Oakland Catholic (PA#1 in AAA girls) and William Kachman of Bedford (PA#1 in AA boys) put on big performances on Saturday. Both runners have earned victories in their first two invitational races this season!
Marianne Abdalah of Vincentian Academy had a strong debut at the Red White and Blue meet on Saturday with a Class A leading time of 18:50. The two time state champion has still never finished worse than 2nd in any PA race in her career.
Maggie Tozcko of Tunkhannock was the state leader for a night with her Spiked Shoe Invitational win in a AA girls leading 18:38. Jeff Kirshenbaum of Methacton won the large school race at Rose Tree with a new personal best of 15:45.
Malvern Prep's Peter Borger looks to be the leader of the Independent School champions, as he ran a 16:55.6 for a big lifetime best.
Griffin Mackey and Abbe Goldstein were the lucky two that survived the weekend to hold on to their top spots.
