The indoor season in PA started off nicely on Friday night with the first DVGTCA meet from Lehigh University's Philip Rauch Fieldhouse.
Janese Lynch, who recently transferred to Neumann Goretti from Academy Park, wasted no time putting up the best throw in the state in the shot put. She tossed over 44 feet to claim the win in her season debut.
Penn Wood swept the "non-PTFCA States contested" events. In the 600 meters, Agnes Mansaray won handily in in 1:37.92. A little later in the 1000m, her teammates Terri Turner ran 3:02 to take the win.
Central Bucks West's Maddie Villalba crushed her indoor mile PR. The senior closed in a 33 second 200 to claim the win in the mile in 5:12. She's an 800 specialist, but looked strong moving up in distance.

Cheltenham had a big day to start the season off on the right foot. The indoor team state champs from a year ago, reasserted its dominance. Chanel Brissett, last year's 60m state champion beat out Norristown's Jayana Webb and freshman phenom Kouri Peace for the win. The time for Brissett--7.75--was well off her personal best, but Brissett had only a few minutes between her prelim race and the final.
Fellow Panther Alexis Crosby closed strong in the 400 meters. She caught reigning state champion in the event, Brooklynn Broadwater, for the win at the line. Crosby ran a 59.03, while Broadwater was right behind her at 59.09. Madison Langley-Walker of Cheltenham won the long jump and then joined Brissett and Crosby for a fast 4x200 to close out the night. The Cheltenham 4x2 took the overall win in 1:45.49

The North Penn distance medley relay claimed a win. They finished in a time of 12:45.40
