Germantown Friends' senior Sarah Walker seems primed for another big season. Last week, she returned to action with a 400 at a DVGTCA meet at Haverford. A week later the GFS squad took a road trip up to Connecticut for the Yale Track Classic.
Walker didn't disappoint.
She won the 800 meters at Yale for the second straight season, jetting her up to PA#1 and US#2. It wasn't as fast as a year ago, but as you'll see, Walker took control of the race early. It's a sign of good things to come for Walker, who as we know, will certainly have plenty of competition at the half mile distance at the indoor state meet in a little over a month.
But did she get her headband back?
