Lehigh University was host to its third meet in three days. On Sunday at the Philadelphia Catholic League Championships, we witnessed a pair of dominated team performances. On the girls' side, Cardinal O'Hara used their distance depth to power to the win, while on the boys' side LaSalle picked up wins and points everywhere to earn the PCL title.

Charles Headen, in the midst of a great senior season, led LaSalle, earning Male Track Athlete of the Meet honors. Headen started his day off anchoring the Pioneers' 4x200 to gold. Then he won the 60 dash, tying his own PA#2 and then won the 200 meters as well.

For LaSalle in the field, Alex Sislo had a day, and he was named Male Field Athlete of the Meet. Sislo won the long jump in a new PA#9 of 21-11, finished second to Bonner & Prendie's Ethan Cook in the triple jump, and took third in the high jump.

The distance squad of Cardinal O'Hara held strong. Rob Morro pulled off a great double. He took third in the mile in 4:28, but came back later to win the 3000 in 8:58. O'Hara's Ryan James did the same double, placing fourth in the mile in 4:31 and third in the 3000 in 9:04. Patrick Grant of LaSalle won the mile in 4:25.71, a nice season best after pulling away for the W. His teammate Eddie Goebel came as close as you can to breaking 9 minutes in the 3000. Goebel placed second in a 9:00.00.

Archbishop Ryan's Monte Guess got back on track with a win in the 60 hurdles in a time of 8.33. Miles Green took third in the 60 hurdles final, not long after winning the 400 meters in 50.58.

Olivia Arizin is headed to the Millrose Games next week. But Arizin first had to help her team to a PCL crown. The junior won the 400 meters and then the 800 meters, bettering his own PA#3 with a time of 2:15.09. That breaks the meet record, formerly held by West Catholic's LaTavia Thomas that stood since 2004. The Arizin led off the Lions' winning 4x400 relay.

The O'Hara girls put on a clinic Sunday. If it was a distance event, there was a Mancini sister near the front. Christine, Grace, and Elizabeth Mancini went 2-3-4 behind Arizin in the 800. Grace, Eleanor, and Elizabeth went 1-2-3 in the mile. Grace, Elizabeth, and Eleanor then went 1-2-3 in the 3000. Yes, Grace pulled off the triple!

O'Hara won handily in the relays from 4x400 up to the DMR on the girls' side.
