Indoor States Preview: Girls' Sprints/Hurdles

The state of Pennsylvania is loaded these days when it comes to sprinters and hurdlers. That's hardly a deviation from the norm, though. There's no shortage of storylines to keep an eye on in those events this year. An influx of talented freshmen have joined an already strong group of experienced talent. They'll converge on Sunday.

Cheltenham's Chanel Brissett has generated a great deal of attention this season, and Sunday will be no different. Brissett will attempt the 60 dash/60 hurdles double. She already has the state record in the hurdles, as she returns to the place where she ran her record-setting 8.28. But she'll have the added challenge of dash this time around. Dasia Pressley of Pennsbury will look to close out her indoor prep career on a big note. Meanwhile, Pennridge's Kouri Peace and some other talented freshmen will make their debut on the state stage. In the 400, it should be a tight race between a handful of fast quarter milers.
