It was looking for a time like we wouldn't see Bloomsburg's Jahvel Hemphill go for the three-peat and win another state title in the 100 meters. But the junior made a big appearance at Sunday's District 4 Championships and won in a 10.76, the top AA time in the state. He's apparently battled some injuries, but it looks like he may be ready to defend his title.

It won't be easy though. There's a number of worthy competitors. Christopher Dock's Austin Kratz has been on a tear this season. The sophomore has made some big strides since his freshman year.

Another sophomore, Kristian Marche of Imhotep will be one to watch after taking the District 12 title in the event. Monessen's Andrey Bolton and Delaware Valley Charter's Jahmair Craig will be two others to watch for as well. Milton's Ian Nieves, who is also competing in the high hurdles, could factor in.
