Of course, all eyes will be on the national record holder Madison Wiltrout of Connellsville this weekend. Wiltrout hasn't yet hit the distances she did last year en route to her PIAA meet record, but Wiltrout still enters as the favorite to the AAA javelin throw.
We'll see what the junior has in store for us this year.
New Oxford's Madison Smith will be looking to knock off the 2015 state champion. Smith has had a great season and she's hitting her peak at the right time with back-to-back 140+ throws at leagues and districts.
Kutztown's Jocelen Ruth, Hazleton's Kayla Merkel, Villa Maria's Erin Zimmerman, Corry Area's Ryann Brundage, and the Jim Thorpe duo of Brooke and Autumn Cope will be among those in the hunt for medals.
