Kutztown's Jocelen Ruth leads in the discus field after her big toss of 150-7 (PA#1) at the Ship Invite in April. She hasn't gotten back to that distance since then, but maybe a return to the friendly confines of Ship this weekend will allow Ruth to get back to form.
Cocalico's Emily Stauffer, mostly known for her shot put feats, has been much-improved in the discus. She threw 144-7 at Ship and is the top seed after winning District 3 last weekend.
North Pocono's Jessica Slagus, Red Lion's Madisen Kling, and Berwick's Payden Montana will all have a chance to challenge for the win in this event.
