Tyrone's Erika Voyzey has won two state championships already and this weekend she'll go for number three. As far as the pursuit of number three goes, the good news for Voyzey is that she's jumping the best of her career. The bad news is this will be the year she's likely most closely battled.

Voyzey has been on a tear this season, clearing a US#3 5-11 at a dual meet earlier in the season, winning the Penn Relays competition, and most recently clearing 5-10 to win at District 6. But in the high jump, there are never any guarantees.

Palisades' Alexa Parks will provide that challenge. Parks has seen a huge improvement in this, her junior season. She appears to be peaking at the right time, clearing 5-9 to win the District 11 title. She was ninth at states last year, but Parks is a prime candidate for not just a medal, but maybe a state title with a big day.

Brownsville's Maris Seto and Holy Redeemer's Caroline Banas have both cleared 5-6 this season and should be in the hunt for medals. Look out for Parks' teammate at Palisades, Lydia Bottelier, as well as Montgomery's Lexy Forrestal and Loyalsock's Maddie Fox in the field.
