6. Kravitz takes down deep 3200 field

The AAA 3200 was loaded with talent. The presumed top 3 consisted of  XC state champ and indoor 3000 meter champ Jake Brophy, JP McCaskey's ever-improving Nathan Henderson, and WPIAL leader Nick Wolk of Peters Township.

North Pocono's Matt Kravitz knew at any point that one of those favorites could make a break from the pack at any time. But the senior hung towards the front of the pack the entire race. Wolk made a move late, but Kravitz answered and outkicked him, winning in a personal best time of 9:09.

The Lehigh-bound Kravitz didn't focus on the 3200 meters in season's past, but he is surely glad he made the step up in distance for his final high school season.
