Top Athletes to Watch For at the AAU Region 2 Qualifier

Miles Green

Speaking of sophomore talent, how about St. Joseph's Prep's Miles Green?

Green had a monster season, particularly outdoors. He took ninth in the 400m hurdles at the Penn Relays. He was the Philadelphia Catholic League champ in the 400 meters and 300 meter hurdles, and then he went on to win the 400 meters at the District 12 AAA Championship. At states, Green placed fourth in the 400 meters in AAA, clocking a PR of 48.19 in a very competitive final. At New Balance Nationals Outdoor, Green capped off his spring season in a big way, running a PA#1 of 52.81 in the 400 meter hurdles to take fourth in the nation.

Now Green turns his attention to the AAU season. He'll compete in the 400 hurdles and 400 meters. The 400 should be a very competitive race featuring a number of sub-49 talents. Green is expected to favored in the hurdles.
