Few athletes are more fun to watch in the PA high school track and field scene than Susquehanna Township's Yasmin Brooks. The rising senior will be one to watch in the winter and spring next year. But first, Brooks will take a crack at the heptathlon at AAU regionals.

Brooks crushed the hurdles at the PIAA State Championships. She won the 300 hurdles in a PA#1 time of 41.71 and took second to state meet record holder and eventual national champion Chanel Brissett in the 100 hurdles. Brooks also ended the season as PA#4 in the long jump (19-0.5), PA#11 in the 100 meters (12.04), and PA#15 in the 200 meters (24.95). So it's no surprise that Brooks would switch to the multis in the summer. She's also entered in the open 100 hurdles, where she's the top seed.

Brooks has surely already attracted the attention of many college coaches, but adding an impressive heptathlon result to her resume certainly won't hurt.
