BOYS PREVIEW

Southern Columbia's Ethan Knoebel is fresh off a big win and a PR at Lock Haven's Bear Mountain River Run. He clocked an impressive 16:25 on the course for the win. He'll look to ride that momentum into Saturday at Lebanon Valley College.

Noah Hake of Northeastern will supply a good challenge. Hake, a junior, was fifth at this meet a year ago. Palmyra's Kevin Cole and Lebanon's Derin Klick should also be in the conversation for the win.

Last year's champs Milton Hershey is mostly depleted from last year, so the the team battle will come down to a likely battle between Palmyra, Central Dauphin, and Oxford Area.

GIRLS PREVIEW

Defending champion Jamie Zamrin and her Cocalico teammates won't return this season to LVC, meaning we'll get a new individual champ. It's a fairly open field at that.

The two favorites are Sydney Myers of Central Dauphin and Cheyenne Hansen of Garden Spot. The two were crazy close every time they raced last season. Myers was one place and one second in front of Hansen at the District 3 Championships. Then a week later, Myers was four place and three seconds ahead of Hansen at states. So yeah, this could be another classic duel between these two.

Palmyra's Kelsei Bixler and Sarah Hollen should be in contention as well. As far as the team race is concerned, Palmyra, Central Dauphin and Garden Spot should all be in the mix.
