Goldstein and GA, Dahl and GFS takes PAISAA titles: WATCH Independent Schools States


Abbe Goldstein of Germantown Academy finally has her elusive state title. The senior was second the first three years of her career at the PAISAA Championships, but on Saturday, Goldstein blew away the field, winning in a time of 19:18 for the win. She's waited a long time, but surely she's satisfied with the win.

Goldstein said she's battled some iron issues this season, but still hopes to make the top ten at Foot Locker Northeast, which is her next big race. Her Germantown Academy team won the team title 31 points, 48 points ahead of the next closest team. Check out the GA team breakdown below:

Nick Dahl of Germantown Friends won his second straight PAISAA title, running away with the crown in 16:31. George School's Jeffrey Love was second in 16:55 and Malvern Prep's Peter Borger was third in 16:57.

Germantown Friends dominated the team race to win its second straight Independent Schools' title. GFS scored 50 points in the win. The Haverford School was second with 112 points.
