WATCH: Truman's Sayyid Saunders Blast A 21.82 200 Meters At Kiwanis

Sayyid Saunders of Harry S. Truman entered our radar last spring when he won the 100 meters and 200 meters at the Council Rock Kiwanis Invitational in just his second track meet ever. By the seasons end, Saunders wound up third in powerful District 1 AAA in the 200 meters and seventh at in the state in AAA.

With a full year under his belt, Saunders proved in his season opener--once again at Council Rock--that he's ready for even bigger things in 2017. The junior won the 200 meters in a PA#1 21.82, defeating indoor state medalist Jeremy Jennings of Downingtown East.

Truman doesn't have an indoor track team and Saunders said he might be a little behind on his training. But expect this to just be the beginning of what figures to be a big season for Saunders. Watch his win in the 200 meters above and see what he had to say after the meet below.
