Carlisle's Mychael Thomas never imagined going this fast this season. The senior was looking to break 15 seconds in the 110 meter hurdles and make an impact on the district and state scene.

But after the first weekend of the season, Thomas found himself atop the state leaderboard in the event, and after the third week of the season, he just keeps getting better.

At Saturday's Pan-Ram Invitational at Central Dauphin, Thomas went 14.26 in the 110 meter hurdles, bettering his own PA#1, which was 14.60 heading into the weekend. We spoke with Thomas after the race:

Thomas has shown to be one of the biggest improvers this season. He's looking for a state title and he'll certainly have a good deal of competition. From District 3 alone, he'll get a good challenge from Penn Manor's Taraje Whitfield and Conestoga Valley's Aanyah Bermudez, who went 14.27 and 14.35 at Hempfield this past weekend respectively.
