BOYS' RECAP

In the 300m hurdles this weekend, two top performances came from Alex Cluff of Wilson and Aanyah Bermudez of Conestoga Valley. Cluff won the race in a fast time of 38.70 seconds (PA #2) beating Bermudez  who ran 39.13 seconds (PA #5) for second. Bermudez took the win in the 110m hurdles in 14.73 seconds, proving he is still a top contender in the state in this event.

It was another good day for Coatesville's Terrance Laird who proved he is still the time to beat in the state in the 100 meters. Laird ran 10.51 at Hempfield a few weeks ago, and lowered that to 10.50, still a PA#1 on Saturday. Laird also ran a PA#1 21.07 in the 200 meters (F.A.T.) at a dual meet earlier in the week. Second and third went to Najee Smith of Muhlenberg and Erik Kirk of Coatesville. Smith came back to win the 200m dash in 22.58. 

Also on the track, Joe Cullen of Wyomissing Area ran very close to a personal best in the 800m with a fast time of 1:55.65 sec. Another Wyomissing winner was Austin Keim in the 400m who won with a time of 49.83 .

A pair of Wilson runners went 1-2 in the 1600m run on their home track. Jake Underwood took the win in 4:31.96 followed by his teammate Will Schoener. The boys 3200m run was won by Evan Royko of Wilson in 9:48.10.

Joe Jardine of Schuylkill Valley proves he is one to contend with again in the pole vault this season. He won on Saturday, jumping 14 ft even. Jardine is the defending boys AA champion and his performance on Saturday ranks him among the best in the state.

The javelin was won by Fleetwood Area's Trevor Koenig with a throw of 171 ft. 9 inches.

Wilson's 4x100m relay team ran 43.17 seconds for the win this weekend. Their relay time currently ranks #5 in the state. Later, Wyomissing Area beat Wilson in the 4 by 400m with a time of 3:27.40.

In the boys long jump, Jose Barbon of Conestoga Valley jumped a season best of 22 ft. 1 inch. for the win on Saturday.

Jacob Gieringer of Oley Valley won the shot with a throw of 50 ft. 1.25 in.

GIRLS' RECAP

In the girls 3200m, Rebecca Snyder of Oley Valley ran a personal best of 11:00.42 for the win on Saturday. Snyder's time now ranks #6 in the state. We will follow closely as the season progresses to see if she can break 11 minutes.

Jane Livingston of Conestoga Valley continued her success this season winning both the 100m and 300m hurdles. Livingston went 14.72 in the 100m finals and 44.65 in the 300m hurdles. Her time in the 300m currently ranks #6 in the state. She was followed closely by Sammy Kauffman of Wilson who took second in both hurdling events.

In the jumps, Coatesville's Caroline Billone won both the triple and and long jump.

In the 400m, Sammie Miller of Coatesville ran 59.50 for the win. Also in the sprints, Coatesville's 4x100m relay ran fast this weekend with a time of 49.60. This time now ranks them 8th in the state. Coatesville's Porsha Miles won the 200m dash this weekend in a time of 26.09.

A freshman from Fleetwood Area, Mikayla Moats, won the girls 1600m run in a time of 5:21.83.
