Flint sophomore McGee picks up right where she left off

Flint Southwestern Academy sophomore Dynasty McGee proved she will be a force to be reckoned with once again this season. A Nike All-American a year ago, McGee clocked 57.50, bettering a field full of collegians to win the 400 meters at Grand Valley State last Saturday. Although its only December, McGee's time was less a half second off the 57:07 she ran to place sixth at the Nike Indoor Nationals last March. McGee was the Michigan State Champion as a freshman with a time of 57.16.

Sarah Birkmeier (Rockford, MI), also competing unattached, recorded a nation's early season best 11-7.75 in the pole vault.
