Fun In The Mud: Full PTXC9 Recap

BLUE RACE

The second fastest time of the day at PTXC9 actually came from the Blue Race.

For a second straight week, Oley Valley's Rebecca Snyder pulled out a dominant win. Snyder, a senior who entered the week at PA#17 after a win at Northampton last week, ran 18:57 in a solo effort to runaway with the Blue Race. Snyder will face a tough test in District 3 AA this season, but early on in 2017, she's proving she's ready to challenge those big names.

Coatesville's Leah Moffitt ran well to take second to Snyder in 20:10. Phillipsburg (NJ)'s Rachel Herrman and Kellenberg Memorial (NY)'s Brianna Lausev were third and fourth respectively, while Pennridge freshman Ashley Gordon was fifth.

Kellenberg Memorial made the trip down from New York worth it, capturing the Blue Race with 56 points. Loudoun Valley showed off its depth with a second place finish by its virtual "B" squad. Cedar Cliff was third and Mechanicsburg was fourth.
