DVGTCA Meet #4 - Meet Preview

After a track-only meet at Haverford last week, the girls of the DVGTCA are back at Lehigh for a full slate of events this Friday. Here's what we're watching for:
Sprints/Hurdles
Exeter's Symone Foster will look to expand her own state lead in the 60 meter hurdles. Foster went 9.06 for a PA#1 a few weeks ago. She's the top seed in the event heading into Friday. Central Bucks East's Abby Eisold is also in the field and should be strong.
Lower Merion's Aja Davis is back on the track this weekend as the top seed in the 60 meters. She'll be looking to improve upon her own PA#4 of 7.82 in the event. Friends' Central freshman Bailie Stovall will look to challenge Davis. Stovall's teammate Ava Forman is the top seed in the 300 meters.
Porsha Miles of Coatesville, who went PA#6 in the 400 meters at PSU over the weekend, will drop down to the 200 meters, looking for a quick flat track time there. The 400 meters features Springside Chestnut Hill's Haley Unthank, who will be challenged by North Penn's versatile Natalie Kwortnik.
Distance
Gabrielle Wilkinson of Friends' Central has already grabbed state leaders in the 800 meters and the mile, so why not try something in between those two events? Wilkinson is entered in the 1,000 meters for Friday, so look for her to go after a quick, likely state-leading mark there. Also in that race is Elizabeth Mancini of Cardinal O'Hara (PA#2 3K).
A pair of 800 meter specialists---Cardinal O'Hara's Christine Mancini and Coatesville's Sammie Miller---will drop down to the 600 meters on Friday in what should be an intriguing race.
The 800 meters is a deep field that includes Central Bucks West's Emmi Simon, Great Valley's Amy Willig, North Penn's Jenna Webb, and Owen J. Roberts' Hannah Kopec. In the mile, look for North Penn's Olivia Dyer, West Chester East's Allyson Clarke, O'Hara's Eleanor Mancini, and OJR's Autumn Sands, among others.
Field
In the triple jump, we should see a good match up between Neshaminy's Briana Fredericks (PA#5) and Saint Basil's Jayla Bernard (PA#8). In the long jump, Bernard's teammate Tia Taylor (PA#5) is the top seed, but she'll face some competition from Mastery's Taliyah Furtick and Springside Chestnut Hill's Olabisi Adams.
Quakertown's Kacey Lambinus returns to the high jump. She'll be looking to improve upon her own PA#3 in the event. The one to beat in the pole vault is CB West's Samantha Ronald. The top seed in the shot put is Coatesville's Morgan Darby.
