PCL Regular Season Meet - Meet Preview

The teams of the Philadelphia Catholic League will head to Haverford on Friday night for its lone regular season meet, which features a limited amount of track and field events.

Girls

Neumann Gorretti's stable of sprinters will look to sweep the 60 meters. Eliza Brooks, Mykala Perry, and Dasia Wilson are the top seeds. Sydni Townsend will be the one to beat in the 55 meter hurdles. Of course, the Saints relays will be worth watching for.

Entered in the 3,000 meters is the Cardinal O'Hara duo of Elizabeth Mancini and Eleanor Mancini are the top seeds. Bonner & Prendie's Jenna Rastatter will look to challenge the pair.

Bishop McDevitt's Blair Knuckle, currently PA#5, is the top seed in the high jump.


Boys

Octavious Carter of LaSalle is the top seed in the 55 meters, but he'll face a good challenge from the likes of Chris Wells of Neumann Goretti and Obinna Iherjirka of Cardinal O'Hara. In the 55 meter hurdles, Saint Joseph's Prep's Miles Green leads the field. He sits at PA#2 in the event.

The top seeds in the 3,000 meters are Bradden Koors and Jack Seiberlich, who were both about of the Explorers' state championship XC squad. We'll also see if that LaSalle team will try to chase a fast time in the DMR.

Isaiah Ritchie of Saint Joseph's Prep is favored in the long jump. He'll be looking to improve upon his PA#7 slot in the event.
