DELCO Girls' Championship - Meet Recap

At Haverford, the girls of Delaware County matched up.

Strath Haven picked up a number of notable wins. Grace Forbes broke the meet record in the mile, running a time of 5:01.84 for a new PA#3. Mayowa Songonuga had a breakthrough performance in the 200 meters, winning in a PA#8 25.98 on a flat track. Dana Hubbell won the 60 meter hurdles in 9.71. Haven also won the 4x800 meter relay and the DMR.

Chester's Kamani Johns won the 400 meters in 59.46. Johns also placed second in the 200 meters. Chester took home wins in both the 4x200 and 4x400 meter relays, too.

Cardinal O'Hara's Christine Mancini won the 800 meters in 2:19.00 (a new PA#5) to edge out Penn Wood's Kyra Carroll, who ran 2:20.19 (a new PA#9). Elizabeth Mancini of O'Hara took home the 3,000 meter win in 10:21.75, which puts her at PA#2. Strath Haven's Taylor Barkdoll took second in a PA#4 10:35.95.

Haverford's Cecilia Katcavage won a close one in the shot put with a throw of 35-9.5 over Springfield (Delco)'s Symphonie Blalock, who also threw 35-9.5 (Katcavage won with a better second best throw). 

Ridley's Meghan Lynch jumped 35-0 to win the triple jump.
