Top Talent To Descend Upon Lehigh: PTFCA Carnival Preview

Girls' Sprints/Hurdles Preview - PTFCA Indoor Track Carnival

60 Meter Hurdles

Some big names are set for the hurdles on Saturday. The must-watch matchup is between Upper Dublin's Madison Langley-Walker and Perkiomen Valley's Christina Warren. Langley-Walker's 8.91 is PA#1 in the 60mH, but Warren is right behind her at PA#2 with a 8.92. Warren is also PA#1 in the 55mH (8.00). They aren't the only two in this field though. Conestoga Valley's Jane Livingston (PA#7 60mH; PA#3 55mH) is having a great year in the hurdles. Council Rock South's Elke Knecht (PA#10) and Central Bucks East's Abby Eisold (PA#14) will also be strong in this field.

60 Meter Dash

PA#2 Grace Lanouette of Conestoga will look to keep rolling this season. After a 7.60 last week, how much faster can the senior go? She'll get plenty of competition from the like of Talitha Diggs of Saucon Valley, Lauryn James of Central, Marjia Allen of Susquehanna Township, Breana Gambrell of Athens, and Taylor Givens of State College.

200 Meters

Lanouette will return later in the day in the 200 meters. She's PA#7 in the event, but she'll get a good race from Diggs (who's also entered in the 60 and 400 before the 200). Diggs just dropped a PA#2 of 24.62 at the Varsity Classic. Lower Merion's Aja Davis will come into this race fresh and should be a factor. Central's James and Susquehanna Township's Jocelynn Burton are among the others in this field.

400 Meters

Expect a few fast flat track times coming your way on Saturday. Leading the way is PA#5 Diggs of Saucon Valley, who went 57.61 at Ocean Breeze earlier this season. Chester's Kamani Johns (PA#9), Penn Wood's Elicia Moore, and Villa Joseph Marie's Kaela Jolibois (PA#13) also have plenty of potential to run fast in this field.
