Watch Rusty Kujdych Turn On The Jets And Break The 3K Meet Record At MOCs

Rusty Kujdych was content to sit in the pack. That is, until the mile mark.

In the 3,000 meters at the TFCAofGP Meet of Champions on Saturday, the Neshaminy senior had a clear race plan and he stuck to it. When he decided to make his move, Kujdych shot himself to the front of the pack, as if out of a cannon. From there, the XC state champion seperated himself from the pack and rolled to the win.

He also set a new meet record, clocking a time of 8:42.05 in the winning effort. It broke Dustin Wilson's 2012 mark of 8:47.18.

Kujdych is the top seed in the 3,000 meters at Sunday's PTFCA Indoor State Championships. Watch the race above and check out more meet coverage from the TFCAofGP Meet of Champions below.
