Kate Donnelly (Council Rock North): AAA Girls' High Jump
In her last two state meet appearances (last spring and this past winter), Donnelly ended up in unlucky ninth place, just missing out on a top eight state medal. Well, not only did the upstart sophomore get on the podium at states, but she rose all the way to the top.
Donnelly had a picture perfect run up to 5 feet, 7 inches, a new PR, as she captured the state title in what was a very close girls' competition that saw two others also clear 5-07. She's cemented herself as one to watch the next few years in the high jump.
