In a thrilling finish last year, Palmerton Area's Jacob Martinez outlasted the 2016 D11-A champ Wayne Reilly of Tri-Valley for the district crown, producing one of the best images of the whole season (see above!). Martinez, however, moves to 2A this season with his Palmerton team, so Reilly will look to re-capture the D11-A title, like he did as a sophomore two years ago.
Looking to get in the mix for the win with the senior Reilly is rising sophomore Scott Zoscin of Weatherly Area. Zoscin was third last season, but will look to see a nice jump from his freshman season and go for the win this season. The Mahanoy Area duo of Adam Soriano and Cole Streisel finished sixth and seventh, respectively, last year and could make some noise as well.
Marian Catholic's Brandon Stasulli is also back from the top ten in the district last year. Ultimately, this could be a very close race for the individual title in D11-A this fall.
