State College Area is looking to run the table again this season in District 6, and it starts with a strong group of individuals. After a second place finish at districts last year, Kileigh Kane will look to lead State College again this fall. She went on to take 12th at the state meet and seems primed for another big season on the trails.
She'll have some company near the front of D6-AAA in the form of her teammates. Emma Simon (third at districts last year), Elly Haushalter (fifth), Lizzie Gilpatrick (eighth), and Molly Solo (ninth) all return from State College's district team from a year ago. Jordan Reed, who ran some quick times as a freshman last year will also factor in near the front. We'll see a lot of red State High tops inside the top five of the district again this fall.
Looking to break up the State College pack is Mifflin County duo of Lauren Kuykendall and Joy Galbraith. Kuykendall was sixth at districts last fall, while Galbraith took tenth. Both will be looking for high finishes again this fall and return trips to Hershey for the state meet.
