Top Names Descend On Lehigh: Paul Short Run Preview

Boys' White Race Preview - Paul Short Run

Jack Miller of Jenkintown asserted himself as not only the top 1A runner in Pennsylvania, but also one of the state's top runners at Hershey last week. Now, the senior will head to Lehigh, his district course, on Saturday. He's the reigning White Race champ and he'll look to defend that title this season.

Wyomissing Area's Ben Kuhn will be a contender as well. He'll be making his season invite debut. Malvern Prep's young duo of Collin Hess and Zachary Brill will be in he mix. Garnet Valley's Sean Garrett, Jenkintown's Carter Geer, and Tyrone Area's Zach Kohler will also be around the top five, as well.

Jenkintown is fresh off a big-time performance at the PIAA Foundation Invitational, which moved the Drakes up to PA#7 (overall) and the top 1A spot in the state. With Miller and Geer, along with some great depth, Jenkintown is once again the team to beat this week.

Saturday will also mark the season invitational debut of the reigning PA Class AA champions, Wyomissing Area. Wyo lost some pieces from that state title team from a year ago, but still figures to be a strong squad this season. Led by Kuhn, expect Wyomissing to battle for a high finish.

Monroe-Woodbury (NY), Hatboro-Horsham, Delbarton School (NJ), and Pennsbury are other solid teams in the White Race field.
