AAA GIRLS 1st 6 teams plus the next 30 non-top 6 place team finishers qualify for STATES
TEAMS
SOME HISTORY--- (of the teams who have the best shot in 2018)--UNIONVILLE was 4th in 2017, 3rd in 2016, 2nd in 2014 and 2015, 1st in 2013 and 2012 and 2nd in 2011(That's 7 years in a row!!) and made STATES all 5 years from 2003 to 2007. - STRATH HAVEN(5th 2015 and 2016) has made STATES 8 of the last 14 years- OWEN J ROBERTS(2nd 2017)(6th 2016)and made it in 2015. -CENTRAL BUCKS WEST just missed from 2013-2016 and they made it in 2012 and 2005. They won District 1 in 2017!--WEST CHESTER HENDERSON qualified 7 times from 2003-2011 and made it in 2017-DOWNINGTOWN WEST was 2nd in 2016-CENTRAL BUCKS EAST last made STATES in 2014 and barely missed the last 3 years!- WEST CHESTER EAST has never made STATES as a girls team.
There are actually 11 teams with a legitimate chance to go to Hershey to ?eat chocolate and run the challenging State course. (Only 6 will survive!!). As always it is VERY!!! TOUGH!! making it to STATES from District 1.(even with the 2018 extra spot).

???The 6th place team will likely score over 275 points(Yes-That means 5 girls averaging 55th place)

INDIVIDUALS
In 2017 39th qualified for STATES--that meant there were 14 girls on the TOP 5 teams who would have individually made STATES. This year that number appears to be likely 20-CBW(5 or 6)-WCH(3)-UNV(2 or 3)-SHAV(3)-WCE(3)-CBE(2 or 3)

Just to clear up the confusion for the 30 individual qualifiers, I am going to say that 6 teams' individuals will be removed. That's 20 girls 20+ 30 = 50th place likely to make STATES??? This year's time will likely be slower than 2017 and I believe 19:47 may make STATES!!??

Who will be the Individual Champ? There are 3 Girls chasing the District 1 IndividualChampionship- Forbes(SH)(12)-Mulhern(WCH)(9)
Mulhern has beaten Clarke each time they have raced(not sure about their dual meet??) and she is unbeaten this year on weekends for sure!!! Forbes has lost to the #1 Girl from PA "AA". and PA "A" and Maryland's #1 runner and a strong NJ runner. I know I am biased but I hope a SENIOR can beat a freshman!!?? PREDICTION-FORBES!
