Race Videos & Interview From The Temple 2 Mile Tune-Up

It was a cold and windy afternoon in Philadelphia for the Temple 2 Mile Tune-Up hosted by Temple University. A few athletes took the opportunity to get a track race in before regional races.

In the first race, Cumberland Valley's Luke Klingenberg pulled away late for the win, outlasting Jack Miller of Jenkintown. Klingenberg, coming off a 17th place finish at PIAA States in AAA, went 9:41, pulling away in the final 600 meters. Miller, the Class A state champion last week in Hershey, held on to second in 9:46. Andrew Healey of Holy Cross was third in 10:02 and Cosmo Cardone of Easton was fourth in 10:04.

Next up for Klingenberg is Foot Locker Northeast at Van Cortland Park in New York in two weeks time.

In the second race, Holy Cross's Thomas Lee kicked to the win in 11:08. The top girl in the race and overall was Hannah Aguirre, a senior at Forest Grove in Oregon. Aguirre, who was 20th at the Oregon state meet in the state's largest classification (6A), ran a time of 11:10. She is prepping for next week's Border Clash in Oregon.
