Alex Kane (Southern Lehigh)
What They Have Done So Far: In the fall, Kane was one of the state's top freshman on the XC trails. He was the second ninth grader across the line in AAA at the state meet, taking 58th. He ran a 5K best of 16:27. Now Kane has transitioned nicely to the track. He ran 4:42.07 for 1600 meters at the Ocean Breeze Freedom Games.
What's To Come: The future is very bright for Kane, particularly given his strong cross country season. His 1600 time is 15th fastest among all freshman boys in the country. He'll look to drop some time and try to sneak into state qualifying territory. Regardless, expect Kane to be a factor in the distance events for many years to come.
