What They Have Done So Far: LaForest made a name for herself in the AAU circuit before entering high school. Now that she's hit the track as a high schooler (after an impressive XC campaign), LaForest is proving she's the real deal in the middle distance events
LaForst has season bests of 5:22.64 in the mile (PA#18), 3:05.72 in the 1K (PA#2), 2:16.56 in the 800 meters (PA#2/US#15), 1:42.56 in the 600 meters (PA#5).
What's To Come: LaForest has already proven to be a strong, versatile runner. Relative to the state and nation, her best event so far looks to be the 800 meters. She ran her PA#2 time at the Marine Corps Holiday Classic in a freshman section, which she won by 10 seconds. In a race with more competition, look for her to drop some serious time and make up a move up the PA and national rankings.
