Zachary Brill (Malvern Prep)
What They Have Done So Far: Brill left a solid mark on the state last year as an eighth grader, but now as a freshman, he's turning even more heads at Malvern Prep. This past XC season, he took second in the Inter-Ac and third overall in the PAISAA. He opened his indoor season with a 4:43.72 at the Ursinus Invitational and then ran a 9:41.74 at the Hill Prep Invitational on Wednesday.
What's To Come: Brill ranks 58th in the mile in PA (counting all classes) and seventh in the nation out of all freshmen. In the 3K, he's the second ranked frosh in PA and the fifth ranked frosh in the nation. That's a sign of good things to come. After a pair of strong races, Brill could certainly contend for a spot in the indoor state meet, which would be no small feat for a ninth grader.
