The Central Bucks West boys showed on Saturday that they will be in the mix for a second straight indoor state title in the 4x800-meter relay.
The Bucks' quartet ran away with the win at the Lavino Relays at the Lawrenceville School in New Jersey. CB West went 8:11.90 for the victory, a new PA#1 time on the season. The Bucks handed off third at the first exchange, but quickly assumed the lead on the second leg and never lost it en route to the win.
Central Bucks East closed well and took second in 8:15.60, a new PA#4 time.
West will once again be challenged by a number of PA teams in an always-deep 4x8. Its cross-town rivals CB East (PA#4) and CB South (PA#7) will certainly be in the mix. The likes of Bensalem, Haverford, Pennridge, Radnor have also proven to be strong. State College Area, as always, can't be counted out, and surely plenty of western PA schools, like Seneca Valley, North Allegheny, and Mount Lebanon, among others will post some quick times in the next few weeks.
