10 Rivalries Brewing In PA This Winter

Girls 60-Meter Hurdles

Christina Warren (Perkiomen Valley) & Jane Livingston (Conestoga Valley)

The Skinny: The national rankings have a pair of PA hurdlers at the top in Warren and Livingston. Warren ran 7.95 in the 55m hurdles twice at the Armory. At once it was a state-leading time. Now she sits at PA#1 & US#4. Livingston, meanwhile, ran 8.57 in the 60m hurdles at the Kevin Dare Invitational, just .02 off her PR from last year. That time is a PA#1 & US#3.

Warren has run the 60m hurdles (8.77) and Livingston has run the 55m hurdles (8.10).

Looking Ahead: Warren is the defending state champion in the 60-meter hurdles, running 8.48, her PR. Livingston was second in 8.55. Both girls are hurdling very well so far this season. The pair will likely matchup at some point before the state meet, which will certainly be an interesting race. Others like Brianna Smith of Cheltenham and Tia Taylor of Saint Basil Academy are hurdling well this season, too and could contend.
