The Pennridge boys took over the top spot in Pennsylvania in the 4x800-meter relay at Saturday's Ocean Breeze Invitational in Staten Island, New York.
The Rams clocked a PA#1 time of 8:02.12, running to the win and the state lead. It's a time that is over 6 seconds better than the next best PA team.
Toms River North (NJ) led for most of the race, but on the anchor, Pennridge's Matt Eissler made up some serious ground to lead the Rams to the win, out-kicking second place Corning (NY). Toms River North ended up third in the race.
Taking fourth was Wyomissing Area, which ran 8:08.16, an impressive PA#2 time for the season, Wyomissing is a Class AA school during the outdoor season. The race included 5 of the state's top 11 times so far this season in the 4x800.
