Fields Are Loaded For Lehigh: PTFCA Carnival Preview

PTFCA Carnival - Girls Track Preview

The race of the day may come int he 60-meter hurdles, as state leaders Jane Livingston of Conestoga Valley and Christina Warren of Perkiomen Valley will matchup for the first time head-to-head this winter. Both girls have run 7.95 in the 55 hurdles, which is T-PA#1 and T-US#7. Expect a great race here between the two favorites for the state title in the event. Cheltenham's Brianna Smith and Council Rock South's Elke Knecht will make this the best hurdles field of the winter in PA.

In the 60 meter dash, Lower Merion's Aja Davis and Saucon Valley's Talitha Diggs will matchup. Both are tied at PA#2 in the 55 meters; Davis ran 7.04 in the 55 to win at the Varsity Classic on Monday. Diggs will drop down in distance, but should still prove she has great speed.

Davis is the top seed in the 200 meters, too, but should get challenged by Palisades' Lydia Bottelier, Warwick's Lily Palacio-Lewis, Conestoga Valley's Jordyn Hock, and Friends' Central's Bailie Stovall. Then in the 400 meters, expect a close one between North Penn's Natalie Kwortnik, Warwick's Leah Graybill, and Garnet Valley's Grace Zamrowski.

Micah Trusty of Friends' Central returns to the event where she's the state leader on Saturday. Trusty (PA#1) leads a strong 800 meter field. Radnor's Keara Seasholtz and Central Bucks East's Mckenna Brophy are also entered here. In the mile, Friends' Central's Rebecca Wusinich (PA#7) and State College's Kileigh Kane (PA#8) will look to make a move up the state rankings and battle for the win in what should be a great race.

The 3K is also loaded with West Chester East's Allyson Clarke, Friends' Central's Lydia Russell, Neshaminy's Kaylee McCullough, and Cedar Crest's Gwyneth Young as the top seeds.
