All The PA No. 1 Performances From The Past Week

Girls Pole Vault: Sydney Horn (Manheim Township) - 13-6

Horn is creeping closer and closer to her sister's state record. At a dual meet on Monday against JP McCaskey, Horn cleared 13-6, a T-PA No. 3 all-time performance in the pole vault. She's currently at US No. 6 on the season. She had some good looks at that record.

Mackenzie Horn, Syndey's older sister, cleared 13-7.25 at the District 3 Championships last year. Now Sydney, just a junior, will look to have a few more cracks at that mark before the season is up with the postseason on the horizon. The all-conditions record is 13-9.25 by Katie Jones, who cleared that height indoors.

PA also had another girl join the 13-foot club. At the James Cross Wilkes-Barre Invitational, Victoria Atkinson of Scranton Preparatory jumped 13-1.5, a PA No. 5 all-time height. Girls pole vault is at its peak these last few years in PA and it's only getting better.

The next few weeks will be fun.
