AA Girls' 4x400m Relay Preview
The Neumann Goretti girls will be looking to close out the meet with yet another title in the 4x400-meter relay, an event this squad has dominated in Pennsylvania over the past few seasons. This year shouldn't be much different. The Saints, who were a very close second at indoor nationals, have rolled through the outdoor season in the 4x4. NG posted the state's fastest time of 3:47.08 at the Penn Relays, and went 3:55.98 to win District 12 again.
It is, in all likelihood, a race for second. So who could claim that spot? Not much separates a few other squads in this field, Fort Cherry dropped a quick 4:03.21 to win the WPIAL title. Lewisburg Area went 4:03.83 to win at District 4, and Holy Redeemer took the District 2 win in 4:04.15. Central Cambria ran a time of 4:04.19 to win District 6. District 1 champions Saint Basil Academy ran 4:03.75 earlier in the season.
Neumann Goretti will have a shot at their own meet record of 3:49.36, set back in 2015. It may very well be a race that could clinch the team title again for the Saints, as well.
