PIAA States Preview: Boys' Sprints/Hurdles

AAA Boys' 4x400m Relay Preview

The District 1 Championships served as what could be a preview of sorts for the state meet in AAA.Behind a huge 46-second anchor leg from Savion Hebron, Neshaminy ran to the win and the state's fastest time with a 3:17.14 for the win.

5 of the state's 6 fastest times came from the D1 meet (whether in the finals or prelims), and the only one of the 6 that didn't was Pennridge, who ran a PA No. 2 earlier in the season. Central Bucks West was second to Neshaminy, while Pennridge was third, followed by Coatesville, Bensalem, Upper Darby, and Penn Wood. It very well could turn into a rematch with much higher stakes in the state meet's very last race.

The District 3 champs Cumberland Valley, Chambersburg (second in D3), and the WPIAL champs Greater Latrobe are some of the non-D1 picks in this field that could make some noise.

As always in the 4x4, it comes down to having a little extra in the tank at the end of a long meet. The team that finds that extra gear will emerge out on top.
