Pennsbury's Tatum Lynch is in the midst of a major breakthrough season. The junior won at Cherokee in NJ and was third at the George School a few weeks ago. Now she'll take on Lehigh, a spot she'll return two other times during October. Expect a fast time and she'll compete for the win.
Kate Sherman of Mohonasen (NY) should give Lynch a good run. She won at the Dave Forbes Invite in NY and should be in the mix for the top spot. Saint Basil's Alina LaForest, a 2:11 half miler from the spring, should be near the front as well. The sophomore will be making her XC invite debut here.
Others to watch for include Conrad Weiser's Sydney Werner, Lower Merion's Sarah Hurst, Tatnall's Lydia Colasante, Appoquinimink's Alyssa Brinsky, Wyomissing's Grace Kuhn, and the Manheim Township's Chloe Kline.
The team race should be fairly wide open with the likes of Lower Merion, Pennsbury, Manheim Township, Mohonasen (NY), and Appoquinimink (DE) among the contenders.
