Gettysburg Invitational - Meet Recap
Brayden Harris of Mifflin County ran away with the win in the boys' race, running 15:57 for the victory -- his first of the season. It's also 25 seconds faster than Harris' winning Gettysburg time from last season, a sign that the junior may be getting his groove back after battling injuries for the early part of the season.
The Chambersburg boys won the team title with 112 points, beating out second place Cumberland Valley by 12. Northern Lebanon's Gage Krall was second individually in 16:03.
In the girls' race, Kylee Cubbison of Mifflin County won a race that came down to the line over Chambersburg freshman Camryn Kiser. Cubbison clocked a 19:11.00, just two tenths ahead of Kiser for the win. Chambersburg's Maddie Kinton was third in 19:13 to put two in the top three for C'burg.
The PA No. 3 Chambersburg girls kept their big season rolling, girls scoring just 45 points to take the team title, behind the strong runs from Kiser and Kinton. Cumberland Valley was second with 74 points, a solid showing.
